Distribution Whitespots
The channel gap your competitor already closed
Manufacturer G had partner coverage in every market it cared about. What it did not have was an answer to a simpler question: which partners sell the category, sell the competitor, and do not sell us.
Coverage is not the same as presence
A signed partner agreement says a relationship exists. It does not say the products are listed, findable or carried in the category where buyers actually search.
Whitespot analysis compares partners under identical logic, so the exceptions surface instead of being averaged away in a coverage report.
How a whitespot is qualified
- The partner operates in a commercially relevant category.
- A direct competitor is detectably present in that category.
- The brand's equivalent presence is not detected.
- The finding survives a countercheck against adjacent listings.
- Evidence is attached so a channel manager can verify it in a minute.
Priority before outreach
The result is not a lead list. It is a short ranked set of partners where demand is already proven by a competitor's presence, which makes the first conversation a commercial one rather than a cold one.
Where it connects
Every new partner adds surface that has to stay clean and correctly represented, which loops the work back to revenue protection and search visibility.
